Randstad Recruitment has partnered with a Tier 2 Builder Developer in Commercial Construction, seeking a HSE Advisor to join the team on a permanent basis working across the Gold Coast District on High End, Luxury Multi-Storey Residential Complexes.
In the role of a HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep of health, safety, and environmental compliances, provide industry expert advice, as well as, develop, and deliver comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety programs, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees.
Duties:
- Ensure Site Inductions are conducted for all staff, contractors, and visitors to guarantee strict adherence to project safety standards
- Lead Toolbox Talks and safety briefings to communicate critical safety information and review high risk works being completed
- Maintain Safety Documentation including training registers, plant records, and Safety Data Sheets.
- Review and Approve Safe Work Method Statements for all high-risk construction activities prior to work commencing
- Liaise with Site Management and subcontractors to resolve safety issues and ensure operational deadlines are met safely
- Ensure the implementation of WHS & Environment protocols to maintain compliance with current legislation
- Complete regular on-site inspections, manage risk assessments, and auditing to ensure a safe working environment and reduce potential risks
- Investigate WHS incidents and implement appropriate actions to ensure non-recurrence
- Promote and champion a strong safety culture within the workplace to improve HSE outcomes
Certification & Experience:
- 3+ Years HSE Experience in a Construction Setting
- Experience working in Multi-Storey Construction | Exceeding 20 levels (Ideal)
- Comprehensive understanding of QLD WHS Legislation
- Vocational or Tertiary qualification in Safety (Minimum Cert IV)
- Open Driver’s License
- General Construction Induction “White Card”
- Full Working Rights within Australia
