About the Opportunity
I am currently partnering with an established and highly respected organization to source a dedicated Human Resources Manager. Based in Welshpool, Western Australia , this is a full-time position operating as a key leadership role within the business. In this capacity, you will report directly to the Managing Director in a hands-on role.
The Role
As the Human Resources Manager, your primary purpose will be leading the company's people and culture strategy. You will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, which includes recruitment, performance, compliance, training, engagement, and payroll. You will provide guidance and support to management and staff while ensuring legislative compliance and fostering a high-performance and respectful workplace culture. Additionally, you will directly manage the Payroll & HR/EA Coordinator and provide strategic oversight of payroll delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the HR function, assisting with workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff engagement.
- Provide strategic and operational HR support to leaders and staff across all levels of the business.
- Manage and support the Payroll & HR/EA Coordinator, ensuring accurate payroll processing and administrative delivery.
- Oversee and develop HR policies and procedures, ensuring regular updates and communication.
- Drive employee engagement and culture-building initiatives across the business.
- Partner with leaders to manage performance, resolve employee relation issues, and develop leadership capability.
- Design and implement HR projects including reward and recognition, learning programs, and health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Manage HR risk and compliance, ensuring policies, documentation, and practices meet legal standards and requirements.
- Present HR reports and insights to the Leadership Team at monthly meetings.
- Maintain a safe working environment and set a personal example in health and safety awareness.
Selection Criteria & About You
- Extensive experience in strategic and operational HR leadership roles.
- A strong understanding of the Fair Work Act, employment legislation, and modern awards.
- Proven experience managing Payroll and HR Systems.
- The ability to manage end-to-end processes including recruitment, performance, and engagement.
- Strong communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- A Certificate IV or Diploma in HR, Leadership, and business or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- A professional, positive, and approachable leadership style.
- Trustworthy, confidential, and emotionally intelligent.
