Are you a seasoned HR Generalist looking to take full ownership of the people function within a high-growth, sustainable industry? We are representing a leading Australian-owned infrastructure organisation seeking a versalite HR specialist to join their People and Culture team.
Reporting directly to the Head of P&C, this is a "roll-up-your-sleeves" role where you will balance high-level workforce strategy with the end-to-end delivery of the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

... - Assisting with workforce planning and role scoping to align HR strategy with organisational goals.
- Managing end-to-end recruitment drives across various departments to ensure fair and consistent selection processes.
- Leading and improving the onboarding and integration process for all new employees.
- Implementing best practices for employee retention, succession planning, and conducting exit interviews.
- Working with team leads to build out KPIs, performance reviews, and individual improvement plans.
- Collaborating with leadership to identify learning and development (L&D) opportunities and coordinate training activities.
- Supporting team leaders in addressing performance concerns and developing effective coaching strategies.
- Driving employee engagement initiatives, including recognition and retention strategies, to ensure a productive work environment.
- Managing employee relations (ER) matters, including grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
- Developing, reviewing, and maintaining HR policies to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, the Fair Work Act, and workplace health and safety (WHS) policies.
- Overseeing the HRIS to ensure data integrity and generating reports for workforce planning and decision-making.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, awards, and standards related to the HR function.

To be successful, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years in a Human Resources role.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced setting.
- A strong grasp of the Fair Work Act, WHS requirements, and modern HR best practices.
