This national logistics powerhouse is looking for a commercially-minded HR Business Partner to own the people strategy for their Adelaide hub. This isn't a "sit behind a desk" role—it’s for a practitioner who loves being on the floor, building relationships, and solving complex industrial puzzles.
The Role: Supporting a workforce of 170 and partnering with 8 key Operational Managers, you will bridge the gap between business goals and people outcomes. You will be the resident expert on Industrial Relations, including interpreting Enterprise Agreements, and a coach to the leadership team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Driving ER/IR Strategy: Managing union relationships and leading EA meetings with confidence.
- Coaching Leaders: Empowering managers to handle performance, conflict, and development effectively.
- Managing the Employee Lifecycle: Ensuring they attract, develop, and retain the best talent in the industry
- Modernising Policy: Keeping compliant, agile, and ahead of legislative changes.
Who you are:
- A seasoned HR professional from an industrial background (Logistics, Mining, or Manufacturing).
- A negotiator who understands the nuances of unionised environments.
- A trusted advisor who can balance empathy with commercial reality.
You’ll report directly to the State Manager, with a dotted line to the GM HR, giving you the visibility and authority to make a tangible impact.
