The Role:
This is a rare technical opportunity for a motivated mechanic to bridge the gap between Light Vehicle and Heavy Diesel. Based at a state-of-the-art facility in Dandenong, this role offers a unique and highly sought-after opportunity to upskill for the right candidate.
Your first six months will be dedicated to mastering the fleet and the specific diagnostic platforms used by the world's leading truck brands. Following this period, you will have the opportunity to enter a formal upskilling pathway to become a qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician—a career move that significantly increases your long-term earning potential and expertise.
What you will be doing:
The core of the role involves high-level diagnostics, maintenance, and complex repairs on a premium fleet of European, American, and Japanese trucks.
- Expert Diagnosis: Utilize advanced OEM diagnostic software to identify and resolve complex faults.
- Full Scope Repairs: Perform everything from routine servicing to major component overhauls (engines, transmissions, and diffs).
- Precision Work: Follow detailed factory procedures to ensure the safety and reliability of heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
- Technical Advice: Collaborate with Service Advisors and customers during express assessments and troubleshooting.
- Teamwork: Work in a high-performing environment where knowledge sharing and mentoring are part of the daily routine.

- The Qualification: Trade Qualified Mechanic (Light or Heavy Vehicle).
- Ideal Background: Experience as a LV mech within a high-end European/Japanese dealership ***Mercedes-Benz especially*** is highly regarded, as you will already understand the diagnostic ethos.
- Attitude is Non-Negotiable: We want someone motivated, reliable, and passionate about the trade.
- Troubleshooting Skills: You aren't just a "parts changer"—you have the ability to fault-find and solve problems.
- Essentials: A valid manual driver’s licence is a must. An HR licence is highly desirable.
- Stability: A proven track record of long tenure with previous employers.
