This is a pivotal leadership position designed to ensure the safety, quality, and regulatory excellence of a significant portfolio of early learning centres dedicated to supporting diverse communities and inclusive education.
... About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide strategic leadership for the organisation’s risk, compliance, and safety functions. You will act as a key partner to the Executive Leadership Team and the Board, embedding a proactive culture of risk management and ensuring that complex regulatory requirements are translated into practical, high-quality outcomes across a large-scale network of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the enterprise risk and compliance framework to support safe, high-quality education and care outcomes across all services.
- Oversee the enterprise risk register and provide high-quality reporting and advice to the Board and Executive regarding risk exposure and mitigation.
- Ensure the organisation meets all current and emerging legislative requirements, maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies.
- Work closely with operational leadership to provide practical tools, guidance, and training that strengthen compliance capability on the ground.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a specialist team to ensure they provide responsive and professional support across the organisation.
About You
You are a collaborative leader with a proven track record of navigating complex, regulated environments - ideally within education, health, or community services. You possess the rare ability to think strategically while remaining deeply practical and solutions-focused.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Risk Management, Law, Governance, Safety, or a related discipline is required.
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in risk management, compliance, governance, or safety.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and partner across operational and executive teams.
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and families, underpinned by high integrity and sound professional judgement.
