The Role
We are seeking an experienced Group Injury Manager for a 3-6 month contract to provide high-level expertise in injury management and return-to-work (RTW) strategies at a national level.
Key Responsibilities
National Case Management: Lead and oversee Workers’ Compensation and RTW plans across multiple Australian jurisdictions (NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, etc.).
Technical Advice: Provide senior-level technical guidance to site-based teams and operational leaders.
Complex Claims: Manage a varied caseload including physical and psychological injuries, as well as Income Protection claims.
Systems & Compliance: Ensure all outcomes are compliant with state-specific legislations using internal injury management systems.
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with medical practitioners, insurers, and internal safety departments to drive proactive recovery outcomes.
About You
Employer-Side Expertise: You must have a strong background working directly for a large employer (Construction, Mining, or Industrial sectors preferred).
Multi-Jurisdictional Knowledge: Proven experience navigating the workers' compensation legislation of multiple Australian states.
Allied Health Background: A qualification in Physio, Occupational Therapy, or a related field is highly regarded.
Fast-Paced Readiness: Ability to step into a 3-6 month replacement role and be operational immediately.
Influence: Strong communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders across a national footprint.
