Randstad Senior Finance is partnering with a rapidly expanding automotive group established in 2025. This organisation is entering a high-octane phase of growth, encompassing a national wholesale dealer network and Australia’s largest single-site prestige dealership. Their services span the entire vehicle lifecycle — from acquisition and sales to warranty, finance, and servicing.
We are looking for a high-calibre, ambitious Group Financial Controller to join the leadership team and design the financial backbone of this scaling organisation.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead financial and management reporting across all operating segments. This is a "build" role where you will establish a robust control environment from the ground up, providing the real-time insights necessary to influence the strategic direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
... Financial & Statutory Reporting: Oversee all transactional, monthly, and annual financial reporting while ensuring 100% statutory and tax compliance.
Internal Controls: Maintain and enhance a strong internal control environment across all ledgers and systems.
FP&A Leadership: Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, utilising data analytics (Power BI) to drive commercial decision-making.
Business Partnering: Partner closely with operational leaders to establish KPIs, drive accountability, and improve performance.
Systems Ownership: Own the financial components of the Dealer Management System (DMS) and ensure seamless integration with reporting tools.
Leadership & Mentoring: Manage and train the administration teams across the Group to ensure process consistency.
Ideal Candidate:
Qualifications: You are CA or CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Experience: 5–8 years of experience in a financial leadership role. While automotive experience is highly desirable, it is not essential.
Technical Prowess: Advanced Excel and Power BI capabilities are required to build sophisticated reporting frameworks.
Systems Knowledge: Proven experience managing financial ledgers and ideally a top-tier Dealer Management System (DMS).
Attributes: A commercial mindset with the interpersonal skills to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
