Experienced Grounds Staff | Streetscape Summer Program | Leichhardt & St Peters Depots
The Opportunity:
We are seeking 20 dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance staff to join our team for the busy Streetscape Summer Program across the Inner West. This is a chance to secure ongoing, full-time hours with a local council, working out of the Leichhardt and St Peters depots.
Your Essential Skills & Responsibilities:
The role requires hands-on experience and proficiency with commercial grounds maintenance equipment. You will be responsible for:
Mowing: Operating push mowing equipment in streetscapes and parks.
Trimming & Edging: Expertly using whipper snippers and edgers to maintain a clean finish.
Cleanup: Efficiently using leaf blowers to ensure public areas are tidy and safe.
Transport: Safely driving Council utes and towing trailers to move equipment and materials.
General garden maintenance, weeding, pruning, and assisting with team operations.
Mandatory Requirements:
To secure one of these roles, candidates must possess:
Experience: Proven commercial experience (minimum 1-2 years) using all specified grounds maintenance equipment.
Licence: Current and valid C-Class Driver's Licence (Manual licence preferred).
Tickets: A valid White Card (Construction Induction Card).
Flexibility: Willingness to be based at either the Leichhardt or St Peters depot.
