We are currently seeking dedicated team members for our Afternoon/Evening operations. To succeed in this role, you will need to be comfortable with a flexible daily roster.
Schedule: Monday – Friday
PM Crew Window: Shifts typically commence between 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM and conclude between 9:30 PM – 10:30 PM.
Flexibility: Please note that start and finish times may vary slightly based on freight volumes.
Rostering: Rosters are managed on a daily basis, offering a dynamic work environment suited to those who can adapt to changing operational needs.
As a Freight Handler, you are essential to the secure movement of goods. Your role includes:
Sorting & Distribution: Efficiently scanning and sorting parcels into designated bays and cages.
Manual Handling: Managing repetitive lifting of items, including items up to 25kg.
Freight Preparation: Palletising and shrink-wrapping goods to ensure they are transit-ready.
Safety Compliance: Maintaining a clean, organized workspace and strictly adhering to all site-specific safety protocols.
Specialized Task: Utilizing strapping and securing techniques to ensure freight stability (experience in this area is highly regarded).
What you will need
Previous experience as Freight Handlers and ability to work in fast paced and busy environments. You will need to be safety focused, physically fit and able to complete manual tasks.
Approximately 2 years of experience in freight handling or a similar fast-paced logistics environment is highly regarded.
The ability to adapt quickly to different sections of the depot and thrive in a busy, high-volume setting.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including repetitive lifting of items up to 25kg (with a commitment to using team-lift techniques for heavier items).
Capacity to remain active and on your feet for the duration of the shift to meet operational needs.
A strong "safety-first" mindset with the ability to follow complex instructions and site protocols accurately.
A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
