My client is looking for someone to join a high-performing Commercial Consumer Finance team, supporting a major brand in the telecommunications sector. We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Finance Analyst/Accountant to drive core financial integrity and provide commercial insights in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting & Month-End: Own the end-to-end month-end process, including posting critical journals, accruals, and ensuring accurate P&L delivery within tight deadlines.
- AASB Compliance: Guarantee complex revenue recognition and financial accounting treatment adhere strictly to Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
- Analysis & Insights: Prepare detailed P&L variance analysis and commentary for monthly Flash reports and business reviews, providing actionable insights on financial and non-financial metrics.
- Audit & Controls: Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, support internal/external audits, and ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives within finance systems (e.g., SAP, GP).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance Director, Finance Manager, and wider Finance teams to manage deliverables and consolidated reporting.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in accounting, with demonstrated ownership of the month-end cycle in a corporate setting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong technical understanding of AASB (Australian Accounting Standards).
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Highly detail-oriented, with proven ability to manage conflicting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable.
