About the Role
Our client is a QLD government organisation based in the Brisbane CBD. They are currently seeking a Financial Accountant to come in and work with them on a temp contract until 30/09/26.

- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or similar OR CA/CPA qualification
- Experience with SAP system
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, and Accounting standards
- Knowledge of ERP implementation processes
Key responsibilities include:
- Corporate Card Administration & Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end corporate card process, including profile setups, issuance, cancellations, disputes, and password management (including transitioning full reissue functions in-house as of July 2026).
- On-Time Payment (OPP) Reporting & Data Analysis: Analyse payment data and compile performance insights to prepare comprehensive OPP reports for management review.
- End-to-End Transaction Processing: Accurately input and manage accounts payable (bills) and accounts receivable (invoices) within the agency's accounting software.
- Contingent Labour Request Coordination: Review, track, and facilitate contingent labor requests by ensuring approved documentation is processed and routed to the central inbox.
- Month-End and Year-End (EOM/EOY) Financial Support: Assist with critical closing tasks, including processing financial journals and analysing data extracted from SAP and business unit Proforma Packs.
- ERP Systems Implementation Support: Contribute to the agency's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system transition, actively participating in activities such as User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
About You
You will be an experienced Financial Accountant with proven experience and reliability in previous positions
The successful candidate will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or similar OR CA/CPA qualification
- Experience with SAP system
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, and Accounting standards
- Knowledge of ERP implementation processes
