Randstad Senior Finance is proud to be partnering with a prestigious and innovative university located in Melbourne's northern suburbs. Our client is a leader in the higher education sector and is currently undertaking significant projects to enhance its finance systems landscape.
We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Finance Systems Analyst for an 8-month interim contract. This role is perfect for a finance professional with a strong background in SAP systems - in particular S/4HANA.
About the role
As the Finance Systems Analyst, you will be a key bridge between the finance department and IT, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for their SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment. You will be the first point of contact for support queries while also driving process improvements and supporting project-based work.
Your key responsibilities will include:
          ... - Acting as an SME for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud modules (e.g., Finance, Procurement, SD) and providing first-level support. 
- Analysing business requirements, identifying process improvements, and recommending standard SAP Cloud functionality. 
- Managing and resolving incidents, service requests, and change requests in a timely manner. 
- Collaborating with business users, in particular finance stakeholders, implementation partners, and SAP support to ensure effective issue resolution. 
- Developing and maintaining crucial documentation, including functional specs, configuration guides, and test scripts. 
- Supporting system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and release management activities. 
- Supporting the integration between SAP and non-SAP applications. 
 
The ideal candidate:
To be successful in this role, you will have previous FICO consulting experience. you will also have:
- A CA or CPA qualification. 
- Proven experience as a Finance Systems Analyst or SAP Analyst. 
- Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, particularly the FICO modules. 
- Demonstrated experience in analysing business requirements and identifying process improvements. 
- Hands-on experience with system testing (UAT) and release management. 
- Excellent documentation and stakeholder management skills. 
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently.
