As they transition from an offshore distribution model to establish their brand new Australian entity, they are building a high-performing local team from the ground up.
Role Description
This is an exceptional opportunity for a proactive, hands-on professional to step into a newly created foundation role as the first local hire for the Australian business. Sitting out of the regional hub, this unique position balances a diverse split of operational and financial responsibilities. You will have total ownership of a clean slate to manage day-to-day corporate finance whilst actively driving customer-facing operations, logistics, and order delivery execution.
This role is a true springboard for growth, offering a direct and transparent pathway to step into the Head of Finance position within 12 to 18 months as the local team and operation expand.
This is a permanent position based in Macquarie Park with a highly desirable hybrid structure of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. It offers a competive salary of $130,000-$150,000 + Super for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
Full-Set Accounting: Own the local finance function from scratch, managing day-to-day accounting, month-end closing, and key financial reconciliations.
Compliance & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive management financial reports and ensure strict adherence to local Australian statutory and tax compliance requirements.
Process Optimisation: Audit operational workflows to handle 3PL inventory reconciliations, variance tracking, and automated data flows efficiently without growing back-office headcount.
Customer & Order Management: Oversee order intake, processing, and seamless execution across sales and service departments, acting as a key point of contact for local customer accounts.
Operational Engine: Manage the end-to-end order-to-cash pipeline, ensuring excellent service delivery and smoothing out workflows for both internal and external stakeholders.
3PL Logistics Coordination: Partner closely with third party logistics (3PL) warehouse providers to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, tracking delivery times and stock levels.
External Advisory Liaison: Partner closely with external advisors to smoothly coordinate tax filing and internal or external audit processes.
Strategic Alignment: Collaborate deeply with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, sales, and service to protect gross margins and align business priorities.
Qualifications & Skills
A degree in Finance or Accounting.
At least 5 years of experience across finance and operational roles, ideally within the medical technology, device, or equipment manufacturing sectors.
Proven hands-on experience navigating a corporate transition, business setup, or brand integration phase.
Strong technical background in full-set accounting, financial reporting, and Australian tax requirements.
Practical exposure to logistics coordination, supply chain operations, and 3PL inventory management.
Advanced proficiency in Excel alongside exposure to modern accounting and ERP systems.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with a robust, self-motivated nature.
