Are you a technically savvy Finance Officer with a mastery of MS Business Central 365? We are currently seeking a detail-oriented finance professional for a 3-month temporary assignment based in Footscray.
Joining a respected healthcare provider, you will step into a pivotal role providing essential support up to the Assistant Accountant level. This is a fast-paced environment that requires someone who can hit the ground running with full-cycle month-end processes and statutory compliance.
Your Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your day-to-day will include:
Full-Cycle AP/AR: Managing the end-to-end ledger including complex reconciliations.
Reconciliations: Performing balance sheet, bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations.
Month-End Support: Undertaking month-end accruals and assisting with the full-cycle end-of-month process.
Tax & Compliance: Ensuring statutory compliance (ATO, GST, PAYG, Superannuation, and FBT).
BAS Lodgment: Calculating and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS).
Technical Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Systems: Hands-on, recent experience using Microsoft Business Central 365 is essential.
Industry: Previous finance experience within the Hospital or Healthcare sector is highly preferred.
Level: Demonstrated experience working at an Assistant Accountant level or as a Senior Finance Officer.
Technicality: A strong understanding of Australian statutory requirements and GST/FBT law.
Availability: You must be available for an immediate or near-immediate start for a 3-month duration.
