Prepare and analyse month-end, including divisional P&Ls and balance sheets (including NZ).
Manage acquisition accounting for franchise buy-backs and oversee monthly AASB16 reconciliations.
Lead the lodgement of all taxation requirements (Income Tax, BAS, GST, FBT, PAYG) and assist with tax planning strategies.
Drive the year-end audit process, liaise with external auditors, and lead daily/monthly cash flow reporting and analysis.
Prepare annual budgets for Capex, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow items.
Support system enhancements and streamline financial processes to create greater efficiencies.
Lead and mentor the Financial Accountants and transactional team to achieve key objectives and maintain high morale.
A proactive "self-starter" who takes ownership and can adapt quickly to the changing demands of a fast-paced environment.
CA or CPA qualified.
5+ years of experience in a commercial or similar role within a fast-paced setting.
Expertise in tax effect accounting, audit, banking/treasury, and compliance.
High-level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with the ability to interpret data in line with ATO and regulatory requirements.
Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel. Prior experience using NetSuite will be highly regarded.
The ability to convey complex financial information in a clear, concise, and logical manner to various stakeholders.
