About the Role
Our client is a VIC State government organisation based in the Melbourne CBD. They are currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to come in and join them on a 2 month temp contract with potential for extension.
Candidates for this role must have:
- Finance One / Technology One system knowledge
- Budget/Forecast experience
- Strong knowledge of Excel including graphs, charts, pivots
- Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner role
- Strong ability to engage with stakeholders and translate to various levels of financial literacy
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Advisory: Provide high-level analysis, forecasting, and scenario modelling to support executive decision-making and project costing.
Leadership & Culture: Role model ethics and integrity while managing resources and fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
Financial Planning & Reporting: Lead the annual budget cycle and prepare monthly performance reports with variance analysis for the Board and Executive.
Capability Uplift: Partner with divisions to improve financial literacy, providing expert advice on business cases, project planning, and budget management.
Systems & Process Management: Optimize whole-of-organization financial systems, including TechnologyOne models and the EPA chart of accounts.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to the Environment Protection Act 2017, financial policies, and OHS standards.
Stakeholder Advocacy: Engage with the community and duty holders to promote the EPA’s regulatory role and commitment to environmental health.
About You
You will be an experienced Finance Business Partner with proven experience and reliability in previous roles
The successful candidate will possess:
