The Role:
This is a highly sought-after technical role based in Melbourne's northern suburbs, offering stability and growth. Your first six months will be dedicated to intensive learning and familiarization, ensuring you are fully proficient before moving into client-facing field service.
... Initial Focus: For the first 6 months, approximately 90% of the work will be based in their workshop in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
Long-Term Goal: Transition into local and interstate travel (regional VIC, NSW, SA, QLD) for commissioning, maintenance, and breakdown support, including occasional weekend stays.
Industry: Work on cutting-edge equipment in the dynamic wine and beverage sector.
What you will be doing:
The core of the role is highly electrical (95% of the work), requiring sharp diagnostic skills combined with mechanical know-how.
Electrical Focus: Provide expert diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of electrical faults on production machinery.
Mechanical Tasks: Install, align, and repair mechanical components (stills, fillers, presses, motors, pumps).
Technical Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics for precise installation and repairs.
Fault Diagnosis: Identifying and resolving complex issues such as component failure, misalignment, and mechanical wear.
Teamwork: Work closely with the Sales Team and Service Team Manager to service clients efficiently.
