Due to continued regional growth, they are seeking a driven and technically astute Field Sales Engineer to join their high-performing team.
About the Role
Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth and expanding the company's product footprint across your assigned territory. This role beautifully fuses technical expertise with strategic sales excellence. You will manage and scale an existing portfolio of established accounts while actively hunting for new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management: Cultivate and expand relationships with key OEMs, End Users, and System Integrators to maximise share-of-wallet.
New Business Development: Research, qualify, and convert new regional sales opportunities across the full product portfolio.
Technical Consultation: Secure product specifications in template designs and engineering drawings by acting as a trusted technical advisor.
Client Education: Drive customer engagement by conducting technical presentations, product demonstrations, and "lunch and learn" training sessions.
Pipeline Strategy: Utilise the CRM system (SuperOffice) to track account performance, manage project pipelines, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
Commercial Execution: Prepare commercial proposals, respond to tenders, and negotiate agreements to achieve sustainable revenue targets.
Skills and Experience Required
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in field sales, technical account management, or business development within the industrial/electrical sector.
Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with selling industrial automation, electronic components, or similar engineering solutions.
Commercial Acumen: Sharp business acumen with advanced negotiation, pipeline management, and presentation skills.
Relationship Builder: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence key decision-makers and build technical rapport.
Self-Motivated: Strong results orientation with excellent time management capabilities to handle a regional call cycle effectively.
