Key Responsibilities
As a Secondary Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality learning and supporting student wellbeing. Your duties will include:
- Curriculum Delivery: Planning and delivering effective English and Humanities programs aligned with curriculum requirements and College expectations.
- Inclusive Practice: Supporting all students by implementing adjustments and modifications for those with Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Assessment & Feedback: Utilizing formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and provide timely, continuous feedback via SEQTA.
- Pastoral Care: Contributing to the College’s mentor structure (DELTA) to support student engagement and belonging.
- Collaboration: Participating in faculty meetings, professional learning, and moderation processes to ensure consistency and quality
Required Skills & Experience
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and current VIT registration (or eligibility to obtain it).
- Expertise: Strong content knowledge in English and Humanities with the ability to translate this into engaging classroom practice.
- Digital Capability: Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (specifically SEQTA) for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
