The Role

We are seeking a passionate English and Humanities Teacher to join a supportive and collaborative faculty. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging curriculum that challenges students to recognise their talents and make a positive impact on their world.
Beyond the classroom, you will play a vital role in the pastoral care of students, working to build positive relationships and show compassion for those in need.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality English and Humanities curriculum to secondary students.
Foster a positive, creative learning environment where Catholic values and spirit are shared.
Collaborate with Learning Leaders and Heads of Campus to implement effective teaching pedagogy.
Participate in the pastoral care program, supporting the student wellbeing team to manage student growth and behaviour effectively.
Contribute to the co-curricular life of the college.
The Successful Candidate
Current VIT Registration (or eligibility to apply).
Tertiary qualifications in Education with methods in English and Humanities.
A commitment to supporting the ethos and mission of Catholic education.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and the wider community.
A practitioner who embraces diversity and is committed to reconciliation and social justice.
