The Opportunity
Are you an Electrical Engineer who prefers the practical side of building services? We are a specialized electrical contractor and subject-matter-expert (SME) firm known for tackling technically demanding projects.
We don't just design on paper; we deliver integrated power, lighting, and communication systems that work in the real world. We are looking for an engineer who wants to move beyond "theoretical" consulting and get closer to the delivery, commissioning, and constructability of major building projects.
Key Responsibilities
Detailed Design & Engineering: Develop and refine electrical system designs, including LV distribution, switchboard schedules, and lighting calculations.
Technical Troubleshooting: Provide engineering solutions to complex site-based challenges, ensuring designs are optimized for installation and maintenance.
Contractor Coordination: Work alongside our project managers and site foremen to ensure engineering specifications align with project timelines and budgets.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all installations meet rigorous safety standards and local building codes (e.g., AS/NZS 3000).
Value Engineering: Identify opportunities to improve system performance or reduce costs through innovative technical alternatives.
What We’re Looking For
Education: A Degree in Electrical Engineering (eligible for RPEQ/NER registration preferred).
Experience: 4+ years in Building Services, ideally with exposure to the contracting or construction side of the industry.
Skills: Proficiency in PowerCAD, AGi32, or Bluebeam. An understanding of Revit is highly regarded.
Mindset: You are a problem-solver who enjoys the fast-paced nature of a contractor environment and values technical precision.
At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all. We actively encourage applications from any background.
