Electrical Construction Supervisor
Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Electrical Construction Supervisor within a leading mining and resources organisation. Due to ongoing asset upgrades to improve project performance, this 3 month casual contract opportunity is available.
The Electrical Construction Supervisor will play a critical role in managing and coordinating ongoing capital projects across the mine processing plant and other non-processing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage construction activities across a variety of projects
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Supervise and coordinate a team of construction personnel, subcontractors and equipment
- Implement and promote safe work procedures and practices
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and implement corrective solutions
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress, and resource utilisation
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure project success
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain high standards of quality and safety
- Participate in planning meetings and contribute to the development of project schedules
The successful candidate will possess:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Supervisor in a heavy industry (ideally mining) environment
- Proven track record of managing construction projects safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of mining operations, construction techniques and equipment
- Excellent knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry best practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate stakeholders including contractors
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Electrical trade qualifications or other relevant trade are highly regarded
- Valid driver's license
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement
- Highly technical and detailed
- Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role and preference will be given to those with underground mining experience.
