The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-performing leader to join this Department's Compliance Branch as an EL1 Assistant Director. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of overseeing complex triage assessments and providing high-level advice to senior executives to ensure defensible regulatory outcomes.
Contract Details
- Rate: $82.00 – $90.00 per hour + super.
- Term: ASAP start to 30 June 2026, with potential for extension or non-ongoing opportunities.
- Location: Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth
- Hybrid Work: 2–3 days per week in-office.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee and review triage assessments of non-compliance allegations to ensure decisions are risk-based and consistent.
- Exercise regulatory delegations and decision-making authority in line with legislative standards.
- Provide strategic advice to senior executives regarding regulatory risks and resource prioritisation.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive culture and supporting capability uplift.
- Coordinate decision-ready materials including Ministerial correspondence and executive briefs.
