The Assistant Centre Director will work closely with the Centre Director to ensure the smooth, compliant, and high-quality operation of the new 102-place early learning and childcare centre in Teesdale, opening in 2026.

đ Key Responsibilities
- Ensure pedagogy and practice align with our clients Development Framework and National Quality Standards (NQS). Encourage reflective practice and use feedback constructively.
- Maintain compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, NQS, Child Protection, and Child Safe Standards.
- Assist the Centre Director with daily operations, including staffing, child enrolment, budgeting/expenditure, and managing stakeholder communications.
- Contribute to implementing high-quality care and educational programs. Build meaningful relationships with families.
- Support the Director with all staffing aspects: recruitment, induction, rostering, performance management, training, professional development, and mentoring. Promote a positive, diverse, and collaborative team culture.
â Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher (Bachelor's degree highly regarded).
- Current Working with Children Check or full Victorian Institute of Teaching registration (VIT).
- Willingness to consent to a National Police Check (and International Police Check if applicable).
- Current First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma qualifications.
- Completion of Protecting Children Mandatory Reporting online learning.
