My client is seeking an experienced and motivated District Sales Manager in Australia to aggressively grow and develop our market share for world-class gas detection products, solutions, and services. This role is based in NSW and primarily covers Hunter Region.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage all aspects of the sales cycle at the end-user and distributor levels. Specific duties include:
Selling gas detection solutions through distribution and directly to customers in Australia.
Generating New Sales Opportunities/Business Development.
Positioning our suite of products, services & solutions.
Increasing and self-generating new sales leads across both iNet and traditional sales.
Prospecting, preparing/presenting proposals, and maintaining existing relationships.
Identifying, managing, and evaluating current and new distribution channels.
Training distributor partners.
Maximizing profit.
Continuously maintaining the company CRM (Salesforce) and accurately capturing the sales funnel.
Willingness to travel 50% around Australia as customer and business needs dictate.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a confident, hard-working professional, with a positive attitude focusing on teamwork and thriving in a fast-paced, sales target and results-driven environment.
Required Experience:
At least 3 to 5 years of sales experience selling to Australian-based industrial customers (e.g., Oil and Gas, Mining, Engineering, Construction)
Experience working with and supporting distribution sales channels.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
Goal-oriented, highly ethical, and acts with integrity.
Experienced in Microsoft Office tools/programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, One Note).
Candidates must have the right to live and work in Australia.
Desired Attributes (Advantageous):
Gas detection or industrial safety experience (sales, technical, or customer service).
Sales management experience (managing a team).
Experience in selling software and services such as maintenance programs and rental contracts/agreements.
Proficiency in SalesForce.com
