About the Role
This is a new position created within a government agency to help design and implement a new service delivery model for Recording and Transcription Services.
You will have extensive experience in managing a Recording and Transcription service in a highly regulated context. The initial focus will be on designing options around in-house versus outsourced models for the delivery of end-to-end recording (video, audio), live voice-to-text capture, file storage, orders and distribution management, and augmented human/technology transcription services.
The candidate will need to be hands-on in the design of different workflow options; support market expressions of interest and tender; work with IT experts to define options around how recordings are routed to human transcribers and define what augmented AI or automation options are available; establishment of recording and transcription service governance and quality control (e.g. ensuring data is delivered in the correct format and records are accessed by the right parties).
In this role you will be comfortable operating autonomously for requirements gathering and design options. You will need to consult with diverse stakeholders from very senior Executives and Legal professionals through to operational teams.
Once future design decisions have been agreed, you will progress to designing the improvement program, including defining what staffing resources required, costing the program, and helping deliver the aspects of the program.
Key Responsibilities
... - Consult with key stakeholders to identify desired recording and transcription service options.
- Produce recommendations on a staged Recording and Transcription Service model re-design in collaboration with technical specialists, vendors and internal service teams.
- Establish program resourcing, structure and governance to ensure delivery of objectives.
- Establish internal and external capacity to deliver sustainable management of the modernised Recording and Transcription services.
Key Capabilities
- Demonstrated experience in managing recording and transcription services, particularly with management of vendor contracts in recording and transcription, and in-house operational oversight of the capture, storage, and distribution of audio and visual recordings and transcribed document management. Experience in the design and production of options to present to Operational Teams and Executive decision makers.
- Strong communication (oral and written) and liaison skills, including the ability to communicate with people at all levels in a dispersed setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work both under broad direction and independently to achieve strategic goals and quality outcomes of project delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities and demonstrate accountability for outcomes.
Qualifications/Experience
Previous experience in Courts, Tribunals, Regulators, Legal firms in the management of Recording and Transcription service
