Core Focus: Technology, Numeracy, and Hands-On Learning
... Subject Leadership & Development: Be the key expert in Digital Technology and Systems Numeracy, responsible for designing and implementing a progressive curriculum that integrates coding, electronics, data analysis, and practical STEM skills.
Leveraging Resources: Utilize an exceptional, state-of-the-art classroom dedicated to this subject, including access to advanced equipment such as 3D printers and electronics kits.
Engaging Pedagogy: Deliver stimulating, hands-on learning experiences that promote student engagement and connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications in technology and data.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with the Mathematics and Science faculties to embed Systems Numeracy and Digital Literacy across the curriculum.

Curriculum Pioneer: Strong desire and proven capacity to develop and build a new subject area within the school, embracing curriculum development and resource creation.
Exceptional Classroom Management: The ability to establish and maintain a high standard of classroom behaviour and safety, fostering a stimulating learning environment independently.
Expert Knowledge: Tertiary qualifications and deep knowledge in Digital Technology, Systems Numeracy, or a related STEM field (e.g., Computing, Engineering, Robotics).
Belief in Every Student: Commitment to ensuring student engagement with technology, believing that every student can master digital and numerical systems.
Essential Selection Criteria
Full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or capacity to obtain registration.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education with specialization in Digital Technology, IT, or Systems Numeracy.
Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and innovative use of ICT and hardware (e.g., 3D printing, microcontrollers) in the classroom.
Proven capacity for exemplary classroom management and fostering student ownership of learning.
