About our Client:
The client I am representing is a global leader in the transit and rail sector, and we are looking for a Customer Service & Sales Support Representative to join a fast-paced Transit Business Unit. This isn't your average, repetitive customer service role. This is a dynamic position blending technical research, financial cross-checking, data analysis and strict compliance management in an industry where safety and precision are paramount.
About the Job:
The Business Unit actually consists of two separate companies operating under completely different ABNs. They share the same ERP system, but operationally, they have to stay completely segregated.
You’ll be the gatekeeper here. If you like clear boundaries and process control, you’ll love this challenge.
... - Switch context seamlessly between the two business units, ensuring data and pricing from the two entities never mix.
- Play Detective: Proactively research and identify technical rail parts from scratch, sometimes with nothing more than a photo from the customer and minimal information. You’ll use your problem-solving skills to track down the correct part numbers and build accurate quotes.
- Maintain document control: Oversee strict archiving of all correspondence and orders in SharePoint to meet industry safety compliance.
This role is based on-site 3 days a week, 2 days WFH (post onboarding and training). You will start in a Temporary role for 3 Months and move into a Permanent job! Based in Rydalmere.
About You:
You don’t need to be an engineer, but you do need to be highly organised, incredibly detail-oriented and comfortable with systems.
- You can handle navigating an ERP system while keeping an eye on three different mailboxes (your personal one and two shared team accounts) without dropping the ball.
- You're comfortable working within spreadsheets - entering data, navigating basic formulas and keeping data clean and organised
- You’re the type of person who gets genuine satisfaction from a perfectly organised filing system (SharePoint and CRM experience will give you a massive head start).
- You can pivot your workflow easily, knowing that the rules for finalising an order change depending on which business unit you are working on that day.
- Attention to detail is a must!
What’s in it for you?
- Choose your hours between 7am and 9am, with finish times between 3:36pm and 5pm!
- Temp to Perm Job Opportunity!
- Get out of the basic customer service loop and build skills in supply chain, technical procurement and corporate compliance
- Work with local, down-to-earth teammates while collaborating with global stakeholders
- The rail industry isn't going anywhere. We have long-term project pipelines and offer real job security
- Quarterly lunches are on the client! Be a part of a genuinely passionate Team, with a Manager who leads with enthusiasm and gives you the confidence to do your job without micro-managing!
