The Opportunity Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for navigating the complexities of local government procurement? The City of Moreton Bay is looking for a Contract Management Officer to join our Assets and Open Space Services team.

In this role, you will provide best practice contract management and administration to the Operations Directorate in accordance with the Local Government Act and Regulations and Council's Procurement Policies and Guidelines. You will partner with the Procurement Department to identify, mitigate, and manage risks associated with Contract Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain contractual records and the contract management system to ensure high-quality administration standards.

• Review and provide advice regarding appropriate action on contract extension requests.

• Maintain contractor insurances, employee work cover policies, and pricing schedules for Preferred Supplier Arrangements.

• Prepare and provide accurate reports to leadership on Directorate compliance with Council's Procurement Policy and relevant legislation.

• Provide timely and practical advice to contract managers to support compliance and assist with effective management practices.

• Support Directorate understanding of specifications, contracts, and frameworks for continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring

• Experience: Demonstrated experience in contract administration, management, and interpreting contracts to apply pricing review adjustments.

• Knowledge: Understanding of relevant procurement legislation under the Queensland Local Government Act 2009 and the Local Government Regulation 2012.

• Skills: High-level communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team environment and meet deadlines through effective time management.

• License: A current "C" Class Driver's Licence.
