Randstad is partnering with a leading government department to recruit a Content and Channels Advisor. This role is essential for managing and evolving the engagement platform, ensuring high-quality, accessible digital content for the Victorian community.
- Rate: $65 – $73 per hour + super
- Location: Docklands (Hybrid)
- Contract: 12-month contract
Role Purpose
You will lead the strategy, creation, and governance of digital content across primary engagement channels. Your goal is to enhance user experience, support brand goals, and uplift the organization's digital capability through best-practice content writing and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Evolution: Implement and evolve the channel’s content strategy using data, insights, and audience personas to optimize the customer journey.
- Content Management: Act as the lead author, editor, and publisher for the engagement platform and related sub-sites.
- Governance & Compliance: Maintain the content governance model and ensure all digital materials meet AA WCAG 2.1 Accessibility Compliance.
- Capability Building: Lead training and coaching for internal content producers to improve organization-wide digital standards.
- Incident Response: Support the delivery of timely, fit-for-purpose incident communications via digital channels as required.
- Performance Reporting: Set baseline metrics and use tools like Google Analytics to report on content performance and user behavior.
Key Selection Criteria
- Digital Expertise: Extensive experience writing for digital platforms and moving content from ideation to publication.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with content publishing systems (ideally Drupal 9/10) and service request tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to utilize research, insights, and tools like Google Analytics to drive strategy.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to manage work queues and meet competing deadlines in a complex environment.
- Accessibility Knowledge: Strong practical application of WCAG 2.1 standards and SEO/SEM practices.
- UX/UI desgin exp desirable
- Education: A tertiary degree in Communications, ICT, or Digital Media is preferred.
