Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Are you an experienced construction or road maintenance professional looking for a secure, high-paying contract to take you through to August?
We are currently partnering with a prominent public sector client in Central Victoria who is seeking a skilled Civil Construction Worker to join their infrastructure and works unit. Operating out of a centralized local depot, you will travel in a team to various sites to deliver essential civil projects and infrastructure upgrades across the region.
This role is physically demanding, hands-on, and ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and values a strict workplace safety culture.
Working within the road reserve and public infrastructure sectors, your daily duties will include:
Civil Infrastructure Works: Undertaking a variety of civil tasks including drainage installation, concreting, paving, earthworks, and patching/asphalting.
Plant & Equipment Operation: Safely operating a range of civil machinery associated with road construction (e.g., tip trucks, skid steers, loaders, or rollers).
Site & Traffic Safety: Setting up, managing, and maintaining a clean, efficient, and OHS-compliant worksite.
Team Collaboration: Working cooperatively within a field crew to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
Community Focus: Representing the organization in a courteous and professional manner when working in public-facing environments.
To be successful in this position, you must be physically fit, reliable, and possess strong foundational knowledge of road maintenance principles.
Required Qualifications & Tickets:
Licence: Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence with a Heavy Rigid (HR) endorsement.
Safety Card: Construction Induction Card (White Card / former Red Card).
Experience: Proven hands-on experience in civil construction, general road maintenance, asphalt work, or commercial concreting.
Plant Capability: Demonstrated ability to safely operate medium to heavy civil plant and equipment.
Traffic Tickets: A current Worksite Traffic Management or Traffic Controller’s certificate is highly regarded but not essential.
Top-Tier Safety Culture: Work with an organization that places employee health, safety, and modern equipment at the absolute forefront.
