Randstad has been given the exclusive opportunity to appoint the foundation team for what will soon be one of Melbourne’s most significant manufacturing landmarks.
Located in the western suburbs, this is a massive, brand-new player in the Cosmetics and Life Sciences space. This pivotal role offers the rare opportunity to help build the operational heartbeat of a high-growth enterprise from the ground up, joining the journey before the first batch hits the line.
The Opportunity
As a Compounder, you won't just be following a recipe, you will be an integral part of a sophisticated production environment. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end batching process, ensuring every product from sunscreens to high-end cosmetics meets rigorous quality and safety standards.
This is a chance to work with state-of-the-art machinery in a facility designed for scale and precision.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Precision Batching: Execute the manufacturing of products strictly according to Batch Manufacturing Instructions (BMIs).
- Material Management: Dispense raw materials accurately and manage inventory via ERP/MRP systems.
- Compliance & GMP: Maintain meticulous records according to GMP documentation standards and adhere to all PPE and hygiene protocols.
- Operational Excellence: Perform line clearances, clean and sanitise equipment, and ensure the facility remains audit-ready.
- Technical Support: Collaborate with the R&D Chemist for product reworks and report any deviations to the Quality Manager immediately.
- Equipment Care: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mixing, filling, and packing machinery.
What You Bring
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a regulated environment. To be successful, you will need:
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar environment, specifically within Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Sunscreen, or Life Sciences.
- Ideally, you hold a degree-qualified background in a relevant field.
- Technical Savvy: Proven experience operating and troubleshooting complex mixing and filling machinery.
- Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in using ERP or MRP systems for material tracking.
- Communication: The ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, from the warehouse floor to the Quality lab.
- Compliance Mindset: A deep understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and a "right first time" attitude.
Why Apply?
This isn't just another job in a factory; it’s a legacy project. You will be part of the inaugural team in a facility that will define the western suburb’s industrial landscape for years to come.
