About the Role
Our client is a NSW State government organization based in Sydney CBD. They are currently seeking a Commercial Evaluation and Advisory Officer to come in and join their team on a temp contract opportunity until 30th November 2026.

- Demonstrated experience in commercial analysis, contract pricing and business case development
- Advanced financial modelling skills in Excel or equivalent, with experience in sensitivity analysis and cost allocation
- Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders through compelling data storytelling, fostering alignment and driving commercially sound outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Pricing Development: Lead pricing strategies for new contracts, renewals, and core offerings to ensure cost recovery, value for money, and long-term financial sustainability.
- Commercial Business Partnering: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and review business cases, providing transparent financial analysis and commercial insights.
- Strategic Decision Support: Translate complex financial data into actionable insights to guide informed decision-making across the organisation.
- Framework & Governance Oversight: Drive the evolution of pricing frameworks and methodologies to improve the consistency, defensibility, and transparency of commercial outcomes.
- Process Optimisation: Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on the automation of pricing tools and reporting to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Capability Building: Enhance organisational expertise by sharing advanced modeling techniques, analysis approaches, and commercial best practices.
About You
You will be an experienced Commercial Evaluation and Advisory professional with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in commercial analysis, contract pricing and business case development
- Advanced financial modelling skills in Excel or equivalent, with experience in sensitivity analysis and cost allocation
