Randstad Procurement, Contracts & Supply Chain is partnering with a prominent infrastructure delivery organisation to secure a Commercial Lead for their expanding major projects division. This organisation is currently spearheading a multi-billion-dollar capital investment designed to facilitate large-scale growth.

The Role
You will be a skilled SME with exceptional advisory skills. You will act as the commercial authority for the delivery teams, guiding internal managers on complex contract formations. You will be the strategic mind behind high-stakes negotiations, tightening standard agreements to mitigate risk, and ensuring the organisation's reputation, brand, and financial value are rigorously protected.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead negotiator and SME for complex, high-value contract negotiations and dispute resolutions.
- Provide strategic guidance and mentoring to Account Managers during challenging negotiations with Tier-1 land developers.
- Ensure maximum financial value is derived from multi-billion-dollar development agreements.
- Assess and ensure the cost effectiveness of third-party delivery options to ensure infrastructure delivery.
- Develop, implement, and monitor robust commercial assurance frameworks across the capital delivery program.
About You
We are seeking an individual with exceptional commercial acumen and the inherent savviness required to navigate the strategies and commercial drivers of Tier-1 property developers.
- Extensive experience in commercial and contract management within major infrastructure delivery, particularly experience in dealing with land developers.
- A proven track record of taking the lead on complex, high-value commercial disputes and negotiations.
- Familiarity with operating in a regulated environment is highly regarded.
- Candidates with backgrounds in engineering consultancies, energy, utilities, or local councils are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Formal qualifications in a relevant commercial discipline.
