Civil Supervisor - residential subdivisions
About The Role
Our client is a long established and growing civil contracting company, with a commitment to the complex infrastructure projects across South Australia. They have established a reputation for stability and high quality project delivery. Due to a significant increase in their project pipeline, they are seeking a highly motivated Civil Supervisor to join their growing team.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Civil Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing site based teams and subcontractors on major residential subdivision projects. This role requires an experienced individual capable of working with a high level of autonomy to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
About The Role
- Provide hands-on leadership and supervision for site construction activities, including earthworks, drainage, and road construction.
- Manage contractors and site personnel effectively to ensure daily success and alignment with project schedules.
- Recognition, reporting, and removal of site hazards to maintain an overriding commitment to health and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, progress and resource utilization.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards, project specifications, and quality documentation.
- Liaise closely with clients, suppliers, and internal operations teams to ensure projects are resourced and delivered effectively.
About You
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role within the civil construction industry, ideally with exposure to subdivision projects.
- Proven track record in sub-contractor management and the supervision of site based teams.
- Sound understanding of construction management, project schedules and budgets.
- Relevant trade qualifications or tertiary education in a related field are highly regarded.
- Self-motivated and has the ability to work with a high level of autonomy
- Current Driver’s License and excellent computing skills.
- A likeable and energetic personality, with the ability to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget
