civil project manager – major sewer project.

We are partnering with a progressive inner-west Melbourne council delivering a $200M+ capital works program. This role is ideal for an experienced Civil Project Manager with a strong background in large-scale sewer infrastructure projects, with road projects to follow mid-year.

The Role

You will lead the delivery of major sewer construction works as part of a large capital program, managing projects from planning through to completion. The role requires strong on-site leadership, contractor management, and public-sector delivery experience.

Site presence:

• 2 days per week on site at 7am (rostered) for the next 2 months

• Remaining days standard business hours

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end delivery of major sewer infrastructure projects ($40M–$200M)

• On-site management of contractors, consultants, safety, quality, and program

• Superintendent’s Representative duties

• Procurement, tendering, contract administration, and reporting

• Governance, change control, and stakeholder management

About You

• Proven experience managing large sewer construction projects in Australia

• Background across local government, water authorities, consultancies, or Tier contractors

• Strong on-site delivery and contractor management experience

• Experience delivering major civil, road, and/or building projects

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or Project Management

• White Card and Victorian Driver’s Licence
