Lead Network Architect – Melbourne
Transform Australia wide network in this exciting 6-month contract role
What you'll do: Design and architect large-scale enterprise and operations-critical networks for our Australia-based Managed Services program. You'll translate high-level requirements into actionable network designs, support lab testing, and lead critical service migrations. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact on Australia's aviation infrastructure while working with a talented, mission-driven team.
What you bring:
- 8+ years designing complex enterprise networks
- 4+ years experience with large electronic systems integration projects
- Deep knowledge of WAN/LAN architectures (MPLS, SD-WAN, VXLAN)
- Strong familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, F5, or Palo Alto equipment
- Expertise in routing protocols (IS-IS, BGP, OSPF) and VPN technologies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Bonus points for:
- Experience with aus gov organisations
- Background in Defence or mission-critical systems
- Network automation skills
- AutoCAD and Visio proficiency
The essentials:
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
- Ability to obtain NV1 security clearance (must be aus Citizen)
- Some travel within Australia required
