The Role & About You
We need independent, qualified professionals who can confidently walk into a new kitchen, take complete operational control, and hit the ground running from day one.
...Your Responsibilities:
- Take Immediate Ownership: Manage daily operations, workflow, meal planning, and clean-down completely independently.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare up to 3 fresh, nutritious, and appealing meals daily for varying group sizes.
- Dietary Precision: Manage complex dietary requirements, allergen matrixes, and cultural preferences with absolute accuracy.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain impeccable food safety, hygiene, and strict regulatory kitchen documentation.
What You Bring:
- Experience: A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) with a proven track record in commercial, hospitality, or institutional kitchens. You must have a demonstrated ability to assess a new kitchen quickly and run the space independently.
- Training & Compliance: A current Safe Food Handling Certificate (or Food Safety Supervisor qualification), alongside completed Child Protection and Foundations of Child Safety Training ( free online traning)
- Requirements: A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and valid Australian work rights.
- Reliability: Available for at least 2 shifts per week, reliable at short notice, and willing to travel within the Brimbank region.
