About the Role
Our client are local government organisation based responsible for the Manningham area. They are currently seeking a Cash Management & Banking officer - Reconciliations to come in and join them on a contact assignment until 23 Feb 2026.
Candidates for this role must have experience in a similar role, coupled with previous experience in accounts receivable, and reconciliations.

In this role you will be responsible to maintain the integrity of Council’s Banking Management Financial Module including liaising with relevant stakeholders to finalise bank reconciliation process in an efficient and effective manner.
The aim is to contribute to the performance of the Financial Services Unit by undertaking duties and responsibilities associated with bank reconciliation and other assigned tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage Bank Reconciliation and Integrity: Maintain the integrity of the Bank Reconciliation Module and oversee the complete bank reconciliation process.
- Investment Management and Reporting: Handle Council's investment arrangements, including cash flow forecasting, analysis, and providing investment recommendations.
- Balance Sheet and Unclaimed Monies Reconciliation: Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and manage all aspects of unclaimed monies, including investigation, reporting, and legislative compliance.
- Support Financial Period Processing: Provide essential support for month-end and financial year-end processing activities.
- Process and Systems Utilization: Utilize and maintain financial systems (e.g., Technology One, on-line banking) for reconciliations, process journals, and manage/correct transactions related to credit card refunds.
- Teamwork and Customer Service: Work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating autonomy, proactively assisting internal and external customers, and managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
About You
You will be an experienced Banking Officer in Reconciliations, with proven experience and reliability in previous positions
The successful candidate will possess:
- Expertise in Bank Reconciliations
- Financial Systems proficiency with Technology One, and Microsoft Excel
- Problem solving and analytical problem solving skills
- Financial accuracy
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Autonomy and teamwork ability.
