We are seeking a results-oriented SME Business Manager to lead a team of Mid-Market New Business Executives for a prominent Australian energy brokerage. This company focuses on simplifying energy procurement for businesses through a mix of long-standing industry relationships and a streamlined digital platform.

The Role
This position balances strategic leadership with hands-on sales support. You will be responsible for:
Leading Performance: Managing a team to drive revenue growth and exceed KPIs within the SME sector.
Sales Lifecycle Management: Overseeing the full sales cycle, from cold outreach and prospecting to closing high-value deals.
Coaching & Mentorship: Building a high-performance culture through consistent feedback and professional development for your team.
Strategic Execution: Developing growth strategies, analyzing sales metrics, and adjusting tactics to meet evolving market needs.
Consultative Selling: Ensuring the team provides accurate energy comparisons and identifies cross-sell opportunities to deliver value to customers.
About You
The ideal candidate is a resilient leader who remains "customer-centric" while navigating a dynamic sales environment.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years in end-to-end customer sales (opening and closing).
Leadership: At least 2 years managing B2B Account Executives or a similar team.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to simplify complex information for clients.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with energy products and services is highly regarded.
Mindset: A willingness to "model the way" by continuing to close accounts alongside your team.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing is preferred.
