Are you a natural relationship builder with a talent for connecting the legal and healthcare sectors? We are looking for a proactive Business Development Manager to bridge the gap between their specialist legal team and the frontline medical professionals who encounter clinical negligence every day.
In this role, you won't just be "sales hunting" you will be building a network of trust. You will act as the face of our firm, engaging with Nurses, Social Workers, Physiotherapists, and Doctors to ensure their patients have access to the expert legal support they deserve.
The Opportunity
As their BDM, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of their medical negligence and personal injury department. Your mission is to cultivate a robust referral ecosystem by educating healthcare providers on their services and ensuring a seamless transition for clients in need of legal advocacy.
Core Responsibilities
Expert Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of the Company's personal injury legal services offering.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with new referrers (medical practitioners, allied health professionals, lawyers, and accountants) through regular face-to-face visits, telephone contact, and written correspondence.
Engagement & Outreach: Prepare and deliver professional presentations and marketing materials to existing and prospective referrers.
Feedback & Quality: Gather and report referrer feedback regarding the management of referred clients to ensure service excellence.
Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular updates to the partners on business development activities, including referrer engagement, new enquiries, and conversion rates.
Strategic Collaboration: Participate in weekly meetings with the partners to discuss strategy and market opportunities.
Enquiry Management: Manage the intake and follow-up of new client enquiries, ensuring each is actioned promptly and appropriately.
Adaptability: Undertake additional tasks as reasonably directed by the partners to support the firm’s growth.
About You
To excel in this role, you should be a high-energy professional who is comfortable navigating clinical environments and professional services. You understand the sensitivity of medical negligence cases and can communicate with empathy and authority.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in Business Development, ideally within Legal, Healthcare, or Pharma.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to "speak the language" of medical professionals.
A strategic mindset with the ability to track data and report on ROI.
Self-motivated and capable of managing a busy schedule of off-site visits.
