We are seeking a motivated individual to join our clients team, focusing on the Western Australia region, to sell gas detection solutions and services.
This is a newly created role driven by a commitment to continue to grow. With budgets exceeded for the previous 2 years and forecasted to achieve the same in 2026 this is an excellent platform for a business development manager who likes autonomy and a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the sales cycle at both the end user and distributor levels.
- Sell advanced solutions and services, including, through distribution and directly to customers.
- Generate and self-generate new sales leads and opportunities
- Identify, manage, and evaluate current and new distribution channels, including training distributor partners.
- Prospect for new business, prepare/present proposals, and maintain existing customer relationships.
- Develop the necessary customer base to meet all sales forecasts and budgets.
- Maintain the company CRM (Salesforce) and accurately capture the sales funnel.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 to 5 years of sales experience selling to Australian-based industrial customers (e.g., Mining, Oil and Gas, Chemicals, and Utilities).
- Experience working with and supporting distribution sales channels.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
- Organizational skills and a results-oriented self-starter attitude.
- Willingness to travel around Western Australia
- Candidates must have the right to live and work in Australia.
Training and support will be provided and there will be warm clients to work with alongside a clear opportunity to grow new business.
Without a physical office in Perth you will work from home when not in front of clients and will be provided with a base salary, car allowance and very luctrative monthly paid incentive scheme.
