About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for the North Queensland region, with a primary focus on the major mining operations in the Bowen Basin. You will be instrumental in expanding our market share and forging long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Development and execution of a regional sales plan to ensure short and long-term objectives for sales, profit, and market position are achieved.
- New Business Development: Identify and develop new business within the North QLD region via prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing deals.
- Relationship Management: Manage client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Market Intelligence: Providing accurate and timely feedback on market conditions, customer, and project developments using the tools provided.
- Reporting: Providing accurate and timely reports as required by management.
What You Will Bring
The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in B2B sales and the drive to excel in a high-growth environment.
Essential Attributes:
- Sales Experience: Demonstrated experience in a business-to-business (B2B) sales position, preferably servicing the mining or heavy industry sectors.
- Proven Results: Proven business development experience and sales results with a history of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience working within the motor vehicle industry or an industrial services environment supplying to major enterprises.
- Communication & Skills: Effective communication skills, coupled with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Reporting: Advanced report writing skills and a high level of proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Licensing: Current Licence to drive manual vehicles (C class) essential for regional travel.
