Business Development Manager | Innovative Diabetes Care NSW or VIC
We are representing a global healthcare leader focused on life-changing technology across diagnostics, medical devices, and nutritionals. We are seeking a high-caliber Business Development Manager for a Diabetes Care division to spearhead a true greenfield mission: unlocking entirely new growth opportunities across the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) markets.
This is not a traditional account management role. It is a strategic, exploratory, and hands-on mandate to sell new technology into new channels. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and developing under-leveraged commercial pathways beyond our existing footprint.
Key Responsibilities
... New Market Development: Conduct market scanning, opportunity sizing, and competitive intelligence to identify growth areas outside the organisation’s core business.
Identify Whitespace: Actively create, shape, and nurture opportunities in non-traditional areas such as Indigenous health clinics, correctional facilities, corporate medical networks, private health insurers, and mining corporate medical services.
Lead Evaluations: Drive Greenlight evaluations for potential new channels to ensure strategic alignment.
Strategic Networking: Build high-level relationships with head offices of healthcare corporates, pharmacy groups, and allied health organisations.
Internal Synergy: Establish strong ties across cross-functional internal teams to ensure aligned and effective execution of new pathways.
What we are looking for
This role is designed for a 'hunter' who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building something from the ground up.
Experience Profile: You are likely a former Head of Sales or senior commercial leader looking to transition back into a pure, high-impact business development remit.
Industry Background: Exposure to medical devices or industries with ongoing launch cycles is advantageous.
Category Breaker: You have a proven track record of launching category-breaking products rather than simply selling established products into new channels.
Attributes: High learning agility, strong commercial intelligence, and a persistent mindset are essential.
