Are you a skilled Data Engineer looking to make a significant impact within a modern Azure ecosystem? This 6-month initial contract offers the opportunity to act as a subject matter expert, supporting critical warehouse maintenance and driving business intelligence solutions. You will work within a collaborative environment to develop robust data pipelines and provide technical leadership across the Azure Data Platform landscape.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and modify Azure Synapse pipelines to support evolving business requirements and warehouse improvements.
- Troubleshoot failures within data ingestion processes to ensure continuous data availability.
- Utilise Microsoft DevOps (CI/CD) to efficiently deploy new pipelines or implement changes to existing ones.
- Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to define and agree upon clear project requirements.
- Provide expert technical advice across the broader Business Intelligence and Azure Data Platform environment.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
- Extensive experience in data warehouse development and modern data platforms.
- Proficiency in Azure Synapse, Data Lake, and Azure SQL Server.
- Proven expertise in the design and development of ETL workflows and detailed data mapping.
- Strong understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling, including reverse engineering capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively consult with stakeholders and analyse business needs.
