The Opportunity:
A rare opportunity has emerged for a seasoned Assistant Credit Manager or Credit Team Leader to join a national leader in the industrial manufacturing sector.
This is a 6-month contract role with a high likelihood of extension, designed for a leader who thrives in a well-established, fast-paced environment.
You will step in to lead a dedicated team of 5 to 6 Credit Officers. As credit applications tighten and risk covenants become more complex, your expertise in managing escalations.
The Role Reporting to the National Credit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the credit function for a national portfolio.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 6 direct reports, ensuring KPIs are met while maintaining a supportive team culture.
Escalation Management: Handle complex "Order-to-Cash" issues and resolve disputes with national clients.
Risk & Compliance: Navigate a tightening credit landscape, assessing risk covenants and ensuring new applications meet stringent company standards.
National Collaboration: Work closely with the Sydney and Melbourne offices to ensure a unified approach to the national ledger.
Collections Strategy: Drive the reduction of aged debt through effective team coaching and direct intervention on key accounts.
Your Profile
Proven Leader: You have previous experience as an Assistant Credit Manager or Team Leader managing a team
Industry Savvy: Experience within construction, manufacturing, distribution, logitsitcs, blue collar is highly regarded.
Systems Literate: You are comfortable with ERPs and have the analytical skills to report on national aging trends.
Agile & Available: You are ready to hit the ground running (ASAP start) and are comfortable with a 6-month initial contract that can be extended
Commutable: You are based within reach of the Logan/Southern Brisbane area for the 3-day office / 2 days from home
