This is the perfect career progression for a senior Centre Director ready to step up, or an established Area Manager looking for a high-impact portfolio of 8 centres in the ACT. With a package of $130k + Car + Bonus, we are looking for a leader who thrives on mentoring Centre Directors and ensuring every service operates at its peak—culturally, financially, and pedagogically.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the State Manager, you will be a visible presence in your centres, role-modelling best practices and driving consistent standards across the region.
Strategic Leadership: Oversee the operational setup of new acquisitions and drive commercial change across your portfolio.
Commercial Growth: Partner with Centre Directors to achieve high occupancy, manage financial performance, and lead local marketing initiatives.
Quality & Compliance: Conduct regular audits and quality reviews to ensure exceeding standards under the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Quality Improvement Plans (QIP).
Mentorship: Coach and develop Centre Directors in performance management, professional communication, and team culture.
Safety & Environment: Oversee OH&S compliance to ensure a safe, positive environment for children, families, and staff.
About You
You are a dynamic, values-driven professional with a proven track record in multi-site management. You understand the "business of childcare" just as well as you understand the importance of quality education.
To be successful, you will bring:
Experience: At least 18 months of proven experience in a senior leadership, Area Manager, or multi-site role within Early Childhood.
Qualifications: An ACECQA-approved Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education & Care.
Knowledge: Deep expertise in the NQF, CCS, CCYP, and EYLF.
Drive: A high-energy approach to improving occupancy and centre performance.
Leadership: A professional yet supportive style with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
Compliance: A current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
