... Are you an Allied Health, Nursing, or Education professional looking for a rewarding, non-clinical government role with zero funding-decision making required? This is it.
We are looking for empathetic, agile, and high-performing professionals in Canberra to join a massive, national federal testing program.
As a Support Needs Assessor, you will use your background to conduct comprehensive, semi-structured interviews with program participants. Your mission is to gather information, understand their unique circumstances, and write high-quality, strengths-based reports mapping out their functional needs.
The Best Part? You focus purely on the person. You do not make any funding, budget, or support hour decisions. Another dedicated team handles the financials, allowing you to focus entirely on delivering a supportive, trauma-informed assessment experience.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Lucrative Pay: $61.85/hr + super.
- True Hybrid Flexibility: Work primarily from home with occasional visits to the local Canberra office for face-to-face assessments.
- No AHPRA / Professional Registration Required: Your qualified background and experience are what matter—active registration is not mandatory.
- World-Class Training: Receive a robust, 3-week fully paid structured training and accreditation program to master the assessment tools before you begin.
- Incredible Culture: Join a collaborative team structured around staff wellbeing, featuring "green rooms" for Q&A, peer coaching, and strong mentorship.
