I am working with a prominent Federal Government client within the disability sector to recruit a specialised APS6 Project Officer focused on Performance, Quality, and Continuous Improvement. This is a unique opportunity to work within a branch that influences high-quality participant experiences by identifying trends and driving service delivery excellence on a national scale.
Working within the Performance, Quality, and National Workload Management branch, this role is responsible for leading and supporting projects that influence high-quality participant experiences. You will coordinate strategic planning and project management activities under limited direction, ensuring work aligns with the agency’s objectives and legislative frameworks.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Project Leadership: Lead and support project management activities, monitoring program progress against established plans and schedules.
- Strategic Documentation: Prepare complex written material, including business cases, executive briefs, and corporate reports.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Initiate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project outcomes meet client needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the Quality Management Framework (QMF) and identify trends to drive performance and quality improvements.
- Financial & Risk Oversight: Monitor project budgets, review expenditure, and assist with procurement, while identifying and managing project risks.
- Technical Advice: Provide specialist procedural guidance and technical expertise to staff and team members.
Ideally you will possess:
- Project Expertise: Demonstrated experience delivering complex project work in fast-paced environments, utilising Agile methodologies.
- Communication Excellence: Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise briefs and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Autonomy & Initiative: Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and evidence-informed decision-making abilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, specifically with Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Planner.
